Using Psychological Type (MBTI) in College Counseling

I have been using Psychological Type for over 30 years in counseling college students
and am putting this up to see is there is any interest this topic.

I start by having the student do a quick form of the criteria like

http://www.personalitytype.com/career_quiz

and go over each scale as a non-threatening icebreaker.

Since I do a lot of study skills problems, I would guide the
discussion to the student’s classroom experience.

I then email the student a learning profile and check the most accurate
descriptors and bring it to the next session, like:

There are great links for specific majors like

For general self-exploration, motivation, career I find this these the best overall sites
